This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through cleaning.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot automatic vacuum cleaner and mop solely for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it also has distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot hoover and mop, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on a child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
