The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and do not need a stroller which can also be used as car seat carriers. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate lightweight stroller, both for urban dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down design that can be incorporated into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy on the eyes and has a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do so one-handed).

It's also easy to add or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who want a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon just by flipping the handle, which means parents can select which mode they prefer on their trip. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It has a large storage basket that will hold all your needs when you are on the move.

The Xplore comes with two canopy options that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as some wagons, so it may not be suitable for longer trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors, and it does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers that we tested, but it's still not the easiest to maneuver on uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades on it were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopies.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and no components required tools. However, it is missing certain essential features we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted in only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. Despite being a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward direction or rotate. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we let them move and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers that jog. But they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It folds easily and fits in the trunk of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we've tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver over different terrains, and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other items.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be removed to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's first years and beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with an integrated suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through tight streets with ease.

It folds in four simple steps, and locks automatically without hassle. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transportation down the stairs or in the car's boot. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat and a carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are easy to use using a single stroller action, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to use and has an excellent dual suspension. It can be folded with one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also extremely light and durable. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat features two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best lightweight single stroller because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It can be used with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be positioned to face one another or be turned around to face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling fights over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a huge tray for gears as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock and a superior compact single stroller fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents who love to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, such as the 5-point safety harness and Single umbrella stroller wrist safety strap. It also features an innovative twist hand brake that's different from the lever type that is found on other models.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit in, but the depth of the seat is not as deep as other joggers we've tried (it's about 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of bassinets and car seats for infants however, you can use them starting from the first day using adapters that work with brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It's easy to fold and put together in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and is available in multiple languages.
