If you're looking for a stroller that can cope with country walks and rough terrain This lightweight stroller from Out N About is a excellent option. The larger rear wheels give more stability on bumpy surfaces and the one-handed fold is a plus.
It also has an extended sun canopy that is compatible with a travel system that includes a car seat and carrycot (sold separately). Our parent tester found the pram easy to use on smooth surfaces and in the city, but it struggled slightly on bumpy terrain.
1. UPPAbaby Ridge
You can see UPPAbaby strollers all over on playgrounds and city sidewalks, but the Ridge is their first jogger that is also designed for all terrain push chair-terrain adventures. The UPPAbaby Ridge, which will be launched in 2021, is a formidable rival to BOB joggers such as the Alterrain Pro and Revolution Flex. The Ridge shares many of the same features with other joggers. However it stands out with its mountain bike-style disc braking system and never-flat tires.
The Ridge seat is higher than the seats found on other strollers for jogging which makes it easier for kids to observe their surroundings. Parents can recline the seat in a range of positions with a standard plastic toggle and two straps that are attached to the back of the stroller. The canopy is pretty large and can be extended to give more coverage for long walks. However, the plastic covering could be susceptible to becoming dirty during muddy or rainy excursions.
Unlike some other joggers, the wheels on the UPPAbaby Ridge are filled with foam instead of air-filled which means there's no requirement to carry an additional set of tires or an air compressor with you. The Ridge comes with a rear wheel lock to allow running, as well as a wheel on the front that can be adjusted to suit different terrains. The UPPAbaby Ridge comes with a parking brake that can be activated by your foot, similar to other jogging tollers.
A large basket underneath the seat can provide plenty of storage for food, gear and toys for children. The canopy can be opened for more shade when it's sunny or closed during cloudy days. Ridge is compatible with UPPAbaby's infant car seats and Bassinet accessory. (Adapters are available separately).
One drawback of the UPPAbaby Ridge is that it's bulky and heavy when folded. It can be a challenge to get on and off public transportation with the stroller, and it's not easy to maneuver in tight shopping aisles or small storefronts.
2. Cybex Avi
The Cybex Avi is a stylish and sleek jogger that is ideal for runners who want performance excellence. The stroller is light and designed for running, and provides smooth riding thanks to its air-filled tires and rear suspension. It's also extremely easy to handle and folds up compactly.
It's compatible with all Cybex car seats which includes the Cot S carryycot as well as infant car seats, making it a truly versatile travel system. The swivel wheel on the front of the seat allows for unbeatable mobility, while the adjustable legrest provides optimal comfort. The ergonomically reclining seat is big enough to accommodate your growing child.
The stroller comes with a large canopy to protect your child from the elements of wind and sun. It is available in a variety of colours and features reflective details for improved visibility on the go. The push bar that can be reversible is a great feature, as it allows you to maneuver and turn in tight turns on busy streets or uneven park pathways.
Cybex Avi has won multiple awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world for design of products. It's a great award to be awarded, since it demonstrates the commitment of the company to design and innovation.
Avi Spin comes in a single package with a choice of 3 frame colors and 5 fabrics colors. This allows you to customize it to your own style. It's also compatible with a variety of accessories, including an insect cover and a rain nets, to enhance your outdoor adventures.
The Avi Spin comes with a harness that is easy to use and quick. This allows you to spend more time exploring. The stroller can fold flat for easy storage. It's perfect for trips into town or for running and hiking in remote areas.
The Avi Spin is great for roads and pavements, but not so well on gravelly, rocky, or wet tracks. If you plan to use it in these types of terrain, we suggest purchasing a set of trail tyre for the best all terrain pushchairs results.
3. Out N About Nipper V5
Designed to enhance parent and child experiences This lightweight pushchair has been carefully engineered. The streamlined frame allows for mobility on urban streets as well as country paths. The tyres with air-filled rims and suspension let you traverse rough terrains with ease while ensuring your child is at ease.

It is suitable from birth and features an infant position that is completely flat that will be comfortable for your baby during those early months. It's also compatible with travel systems, which means you can pair it up with an infant carrier from brands such as Cybex Maxi-Cosi or Phil & Teds. A newborn insert with padding is available as an optional extra and helps to enhance the fit of the seat.
The buggy can be assembled in a matter of minutes, without the use of tools or screwdrivers. To do this, you must release the locking catch on either side of the frame, then simply pull the handle inside the seat and it will fold. The shopping basket can be easily accessed and a clip-on bag for changing can be affixed to the rear of the seat.
The Nipper V5 is a great choice for active families who enjoy fresh air and keep up their workout routines with children around. If you want to use it for jogging it is crucial to remember that you must wait until your child is at minimum six months old before starting.
Out N About offers a small, but well-designed collection of double buggies for running. The slimline Nipper Sports double is perfect for parents with twins or two toddlers and a baby. This model is suitable for both off-road and road adventures thanks to its large 16" tires and wheel suspension. It's also travel system-compatible, meaning it can be used with a Cybex or Maxi-Cosi infant car seat but please note that a separate adapter is required.
4. Graco Expedition
The Graco Expedition, our cheapest model is a great option for parents who are looking for a smooth ride that has plenty of storage space. It's compact all terrain pushchair and can stand on its own when not in use to conserve space. The wheels were smooth on the various terrains we tested and were able to maneuver smoothly around corners. It didn't perform well when going uphill compared to the other wagons we tested.
The Expedition includes a parent tray that has two cup holders, and a covered storage space. It also comes with a child tray with two cup holders and an area for snacks. It accepts an adapter for Graco car seats to create a travel set. The canopy can be repositioned forward and backward but it isn't big enough to offer much protection.
The Expedition includes brake pedals that control both rear wheels. The brake pedals are easy to operate and release. However the underside can be rough for feet that are not wearing sandals. In our runaway-wagon test the brakes were able to stop a stroller that was weighted however, it first skidded before stopping. The model we tested does not have the safety harness that has three points. The cushioned seat is comfortable, however it isn't reclining to the fullest extent. It's not a good option for runners.
