World of Warcraft item upgrader mod (pop over here) Upgrades
Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it can boost an Best item upgrader's Rarity or Mark Level and increase other stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.
Item Level
When an item gets upgraded, its basic stats improve in value. This value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be modified to upgrade an item.
The level of an item is a widely used measurement of power and is visible on all item tooltips. It also serves as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is limited to the lower levels). The average item level can be found in the character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the level of an item. It's an excellent gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it's able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor can be done by using the level of the item.
The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item upgrade and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are various theories on how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory states that the level of an item is calculated using a formula that calculates the worth of an item's stats actually are. It takes into account the fact that various perks have different value and that gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl which is calculated and is typically very close to Blizzards actual level of the item upgrade.
However, this is not the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, since the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, for example by adding an additional level to its haste rating or crit rating. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in various ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrader." The stats of a base weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modifications which are then enhanced by the player's level.
The upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines its cost of upgrading. An item that is white or grey for instance, can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.
Another way to change the stats on an item is through affixes. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can do things like give the item additional damage, or add a unique ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item.
At present, all affixes can be modified by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button using circles arrows. This will cost a specific amount of gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, just like the other methods of rerolling.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat in the range, unless they are a unique item or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid.
This is another thing that could be changed by adding an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to increase. As with the base equipment, it must be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats simultaneously.
Item Luck
A player's Luck stat stacks up to increase the odds of item discoveries and the properties that are spawned from loot drops and the intensity of the properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade equipment earlier in the game. This is especially useful in early game runs because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability, which increases with each level and can be further enhanced through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned using the Luck property, with a default value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck, or to increase the existing Luck of an item up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be crafted to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by five percent. These items can be purchased from the shop, or they can be constructed using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.
When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade successfully and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..
The Luck of an item upgrading can influence the success of an upgrade. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases that chance by an additional five percent.
Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects could be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
