GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

As the name suggests, GE's Profile series targets those who want to incorporate cutting-edge features in their kitchen. This refrigerator has it all from a Keurig K cup coffee maker in the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive and I expected more.

Aside from that blip the fridge is a great option. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth french door non plumbed fridge door fridges, and it holds a fair amount of frozen foods as compared to similar models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on par for an French door fridge costing this much. It has a decent-sized icemaker in the left door. However, it's not the largest one I've seen.

They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and allows you to manage your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also offers a lot of customization options. It will also send notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the freezer or fridge must be defrosted and when the filter needs to be changed.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in a few other GE refrigerators that allows you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to dispense at once. It also has a countdown feature on the fridge display to show how much water you have remaining, but that's not as useful as Precise Fill.

The app allows you to monitor and control the refrigerator remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, however it has great features and capabilities for the price.

Inside, the fridge has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door and two rows of shelves that capture spills, and a set of more spacious drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more space. There's also a full-width storage drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that its ice maker is in the freezer, making it easy to transfer frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that can help you better organize the position of your items. It has a large bin for storing frozen food and a separate one for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can manage the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a great way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. This fridge took longer to defrost food and chill it than some others we tried. This could be due to its larger capacity.

Another issue with this refrigerator is its doors. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow shorter people to easily pull them open from the bottom, however they're not easy for taller people to steer shut without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those looking to blend the look of a French door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is superior to counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also less expensive than the top counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option.

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice when you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic refrigerator that might not be as appealing as its rivals however, it does have enough features to make it a good choice. Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does a great job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
