The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks must be completed including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing to recharge or returning back to the base. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the newest version. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The L20 Ultra robot vacuums that mop is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have several features that make it stand out.
