Cheap Single Pushchairs
If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that doubles up as car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.
It's simple to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. Additionally, it's easy to fold.
1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most single standing stroller that is light, ideal for city dwellers as well jet-setters. This is due to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to 'perfectly navigate all terrains and types'.
The base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and six-month colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair that is easy to look at, with a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The frame itself weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do so one-handed).
It's also simple to add or remove adaptors or attachments like the hood for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a single standing stroller after 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then decide which one is the best single pushchair fit for their journey. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold everything you need on the go.
The Xplore also comes with two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This may not be suitable for long journeys or naps.
The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it does not flex like other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it's not able to lock tight once folded. It is easy to move however, and fits through doors with a width of 28 inches.
3. Delta Children LX Side by Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.
In our test of push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers of a similar price we tried, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doorways. Its sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.
The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we think you should not compromise on in a double stroller, like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with just a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.
The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. Despite this being quite narrow, the pushchair handled the bumps of everyday life well and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.
The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to rotate which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. While walking on the stony path, we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well, though it did appear a little bumpier than others on test.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,
Baby Jogger is known for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is easy to fold and fits easily into the trunk of a car even with the carrycot attached.
It is heavier than the other strollers we tested, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other things.
Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other prams' hoods which get whipped back into toddlers faces.
It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold a changing bag as well as plenty of food items. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to use a stroller on the move.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors, which can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.
