What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gameplay benefit aside from making it easier to view and buy upgrades.

Increases the effectiveness of

With an upgrader for your item you will be able to enjoy numerous bonuses. These can include a variety of stats, in addition to many additional bonuses. Some items have an inherent boo, which is not effective when upgraded, such as the Goldwrap which gives extra potion slots. These are often upgraded to add value to a nearly perfect item.

Costs

Upgrades are accompanied by a few associated costs. The first is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it gains, and can be expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

The second is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These items can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

The process of upgrading an item is a complex process that requires time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based on the new ilvl and other characteristics. This calculation determines new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, and other important stats. In some cases upgrades can provide additional benefits. These perks are offered in a list.

In rare cases the upgrade will only replace the most expensive benefits. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other modifications to an item, such as changing the damage type of a weapon or or removing an unwieldy or operational property. These changes are based on an item upgrader kit's ilvl, and may require special materials, like Adamantine.

Success Rate

The upgrade of an item is based on chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it won't succeed. There are a few ways to increase your chances of success. These include the use of an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional materials to the upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is a product you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of a successful upgrade by a certain percentage. It is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer, but is more solid. It can be added to any weapons or armor and is used three times.

You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase its chances of success. These are displayed in a separate window, above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is displayed right above the + button in the user interface.

Another way to increase the chance of an upgrade succeeding is by using an item called a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful when you own an item or weapon equipment that has reached the highest level for its tier, or is close to it. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade fails, it will be reverted to its initial state. This is typically a break, but can also be a downgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you're close to the maximum level for an item.

There are a variety of items available in the Kafra shop that can be used to boost the odds of a successful upgrade. You can increase your chances of success by upgrading equipment repeatedly using HD Oridecon and HD Elunium. Also, increasing the chances to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the success rate.

Failure Rate
