Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an attempt to return to the traditional sextet style and it was a more consistent, more powerful album with a sharper edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
